DPR’s Barnsley roofers were asked to visit an apartment building in Barnsley last week after occupants had spotted some slipped or loose ridge tiles.
Upon inspection of the roof coverings at St Marys Apartments, Littleworth Lane, Barnsley, it was noted many areas of ridge tiles were in need of some attention. However, more urgently, to the left hand side of the building approximately six ridge tiles had actually slipped out of position and were at risk of sliding further or falling off completely.

The owners of the apartment building agreed to DPR carrying out repair works to rectify the situation by recovering and repositioning the tiles.
Our roofers arrived on site and gained access to the ridge using our specialist powered platform. They then gathered all the loose ridge tiles and removed the old mortar beds.
The ridge tiles were then repositioned and re-set on new mortar beds, and pointed off using quality roofing grade mortar.
